Slam is a mobile app that gamifies the experience for playing tennis. It allows to keep track of your progress and compare yourself within the rankings.
Slam is both for:
- experienced players looking for new opponents and to track their further progress.
- new players trying to learn and get better at tennis (best way to learn is through practice).
Slam is supposed to be a tool that makes it simple to find players at the similar level and in the same location. We want to make it easy to find match opponents and training partners so users can focus on playing tennis.
The process is as follows:
1. Log into the app and allow location while using the app.
2. Set your initial tennis skill level in the settings.
3. Start the search for match/training and send invitations to potential opponents/partners.
4. Message user from active matches to set the location and time of the match/training.
5. Record results of the match.
6. View your position in the national and global ranking.
The app provides several features to help users find match opponents and training partners in their location:
- The main feature is the matchmaking system, which matches players based on their skill level and location. This helps users find opponents and training partners with similar skill, experience and interests.
- Intuitive user profiles, where players can view their previous matches/trainings.
- Messaging system, which allows players to communicate and arrange matches/training with others. This makes it easy for users to find opponents and set up competitions in a timely and efficient manner.
- The ranking, which tracks users winning rates in matches. Users can see their position in the national and global rankings, and the app plans to provide rewards for top performers.
Overall, Slam is an app designed to help people interested in tennis find match and training partners in their area. With our matchmaking system, user profiles, messaging system, leaderboard and incentives, we aim to make it easy for users to find opponents and set up competitions, so they can focus on whats important - competing and self-improvement.
